Mike has been involved in all phases of the Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry since 1971. He has completed several professional courses in building mechanical systems design, installation, maintenance and repair sponsored by Lennox Industries, Trane Company, Carrier Corporation, Liebert, Staefa Controls and others. While in the United States Marine Corps, he completed courses in electric and electronic control systems. He also has extensive knowledge and experience in design and evaluation
of HVAC controls and has worked with systems of up to 1,500 tons capacity. Mike is currently a member of Refrigeration Service
Engineers Society (RSES) and the Oregon Homebuilders Association. More...

Instead of seeing himself as a salesman, Denton considers himself to be more of a Home Comfort Consultant matching the proper heating and cooling system with your in-home climate needs.
He is the proud and happy husband to his beautiful wife and father to three children. While successfully raising their children, his wife excelled in her career as a nurse for Samaritan Health Services. His oldest daughter is an English teacher at a local college, and his oldest son is currently serving in the Air Force.
Denton has lived in the Mid-Willamette Valley since 1968. His original interest in schooling was in the Mechanical field where he graduated from Walla Walla University in 1979. Not many years later, he trended into the Heating and Air Conditioning Field in 1986 and achieved Journeyman Status from Chemeketa Community College in 1991. He has a great advantage over others where his experience doing design, lay out, fabrication, and installation of HVAC systems gives him the ability to offer our clients the best and most affordable solutions to any heating and cooling need.

Eric has been with Mike's Heating since 2001. He was raised and employed in a family owned oil heating business until 1982. For the next 10 years he served in the U.S. Army where he was honorably discharged. He attended Portland Community College residential & commercial HVAC and Refrigeration program. For 7 years he operated as a independent commercial HVAC and refrigeration contractor in the Salem area. Eric has served as a substitute instructor for Phase I psychometrics and indoor air quality and Phase IV commercial refrigeration. He is certified by the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute, The Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association in residential and commercial applications, and is N.A.T.E. certified for air conditioning and heat pumps. He is also certified by the E.P.A. as a universal refrigerant handler. His expertise include gas as well as oil fired generators. Eric is well versed in energy conservation applications and long term storage of medium and low temp refrigerated perishable products.
